My name is Adam Carr, and I’ve been a Chiropractor since 2008, working across Manchester and Sheffield. Born and raised in Sheffield, the pull of the Peak District eventually brought me home after completing my training at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic — and a brief spell on the “wrong side” of the Pennines.

As someone who’s always loved the outdoors and being active, there’s no better place to live than the Outdoor City, with the Peaks right on the doorstep. In my younger years, I competed in tennis at a high level — even playing at Wimbledon in the “Road to Wimbledon” tournament. It was through sports injuries during those days that I first discovered chiropractic care as a patient, and that experience ultimately shaped my career path. Seeing first-hand how treatment could restore movement, reduce pain, and improve performance inspired me to help others in the same way.

These days, my tennis rackets might be gathering dust, but I still make the most of every opportunity to stay active. You’ll often find me climbing, cycling, or hiking with my wife, our two daughters, and our (utterly crazy) Cockapoo. Life is rarely quiet — and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

My love for the outdoors and spending quality time with family and friends is what fuels my passion for chiropractic care. I’m dedicated to helping others stay active, pain-free, and able to enjoy the things they love most.

Over the years, I’ve continued to expand my knowledge and refine my skills through ongoing professional development. Alongside extensive experience in Diversified Chiropractic Technique and Dry Needling, I hold additional soft tissue qualifications including Graston Technique — a highly effective, instrument-assisted approach for sports injuries and repetitive strain conditions. This blend of techniques allows me to provide a tailored, patient-centred approach to recovery and long-term wellbeing.

In addition to my clinical work, I also serve as a competency assessor for the General Chiropractic Council — the UK’s regulatory body for the chiropractic profession — helping to uphold the high standards of care our patients deserve.
